Welcome!
Individual, Couples and Family Therapy
I believe that therapy is a powerful first step in navigating conflict, developing emotional awareness, and fostering healthy relationships with ourselves and others. Effective therapy provides tools to not only navigate these challenges, but to come out stronger on the other side. Through therapy, I offer space for individuals, couples, and families of all identities to connect and share their vulnerability in a safe and uplifting environment.
Couples:
In my practice, I am deeply committed to fostering stronger, more resilient relationships through couples therapy. I am currently enhancing my expertise by training in the Gottman Technique, a method grounded in over 40 years of research, which offers practical tools and insights to deepen intimacy and understanding between partners. The Gottman Technique, developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, is renowned for its ability to predict the success of relationships with over 90% accuracy, and I integrate these evidence-based strategies to help couples navigate their challenges effectively. Alongside the Gottman Technique, I also draw upon Sue Johnson's Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), a transformative approach that focuses on the development of emotional intelligence and the strengthening of attachment bonds. EFT's powerful framework for understanding love relationships has been validated by extensive research, showing significant positive outcomes for couples dealing with conflict and disconnection. Together, these approaches form the foundation of my practice in couples therapy, where I am dedicated to guiding couples through their journey toward healing, growth, and deeper connection.
Families:
In my family therapy practice, I draw upon a rich tapestry of major family therapy theories, informed by my foundational studies in Marital and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University at the master's level, before advancing to complete my PhD. My practice is dedicated to creating a collaborative and empathetic space where families can explore and understand their interactions, develop effective communication skills, and build resilience against life's challenges. By leveraging diverse theoretical perspectives, I guide families on a transformative journey towards healing, stronger relationships, and a deeper understanding of themselves and each other.
